Collapsible Car Bed
I have a tradition. Every year, I go camping along the coast from Washington State down to… however far I can get before I have to turn around and return home. Then Covid happened, and everyone’s plans got borked. This year, I was going to bring it back. Plus, now I have a dog, so it would be perfect. Just two cool dudes chilling on the beach. While camping isn’t expensive, I do have a TON of supplies. Getting everything setup, and in and out of the car, while managing a dog seemed like a lot of extra hassle. Then I found out about car camping, or stealth camping.

Catio
I got Balerion when he was 12 weeks old. I wanted to be one of those cool people who walked their cats outside. It took a while, but it soon got to the point where Balerion considered himself an outdoors cat, and I was falsely imprisoning him. He constantly wanted to get out. He ripped a hole in my screen door to escape. He knocked the AC vent hose out of the way to escape. It was time to do something. A catio is basically a patio for cats. Get it? Since I rent an apartment, it couldn’t be permanent. I came up with a solution that would basically use…

Custom Longboard
I grew up in California. Skateboarding is in my blood. Though since I’ve moved to Seattle, I haven’t skated in forever. My goal is to go to Santa Cruz for my vacation this summer, so I need to be prepared. Perfect time to build a longboard.

Guitar Effects Pedal Board
For many years, I’ve had these effects pedals just sitting on the floor. Then my robot vacuum would move them around. It was super frustrating, but pedal boards are expensive. So I decided to make my own.

Glow in the Dark Live Edge Table (Part 2: I Fucking Hate Epoxy)
Welcome to part 2 of my Live Edge Table tutorial. Part 1 is here. In the last article, I covered the wood aspect. Now it’s time to deal with the epoxy. Welcome to my nightmare.

Glow in the Dark Live Edge Table (Part 1: Wood)
I hate wood working. That’s my dad’s thing. But I do like shiny things. I came across an Instructibles Article. To be fair, most of the method I used was from that article, so credit where credit is due, to Mikeasaurus. I made a ton of mistakes, and had to repeatedly go to plan B. Then plan C. Then plan D. I’m breaking this into two sections. First, the wood. Next, the epoxy. I’m going to warn you in advance. This is an expensive project. I’ve spent at least $1000 on supplies for this. But when it’s done, it will look sexy as hell. Let’s start with the supplies. And…

Custom Knife Block
A few years ago, I saw this knife block. I don’t like wood, but this thing was beautiful. I asked my dad to make one for me, because he likes wood working, but he never had a chance to get to it. Time went on, and I kept thinking about this block. Finally, I decided to make it myself. I had watched my dad build things often enough to have a pretty good idea how to do it. It took me a little over a year, mostly because I’m lazy and got distracted with other things. If you’re actually committed, it should take a weekend, with glue time.
