A few years ago, I explained Tupac’s Letter to the President to white people. Then I parodied that by explaining a country song to black people. It’s time I brought it back. Let’s go back in time to the mid 90s. A rap feud is breaking out between east coast and west coast rappers. The two biggest names in the feud were Tupac Shakur, and Biggie Smalls. Then producer, alleged murder, and possible mobster Suge Knight got on stage at an awards ceremony and encouraged rappers to come to his Death Row label, promising them that they wouldn’t be forced to have their producer on every song. Depending on the success or failure of President Trump’s legal cases, Joe Biden is set to be the next president. During a speech recently, President Elect Biden mentioned that we need to consider the other side of the political spectrum as our opponents, not our enemies. This mirrors what I’ve been saying for years. We need to debate ideas, not people.

I was raised in a very conservative family, in a very conservative town. I grew up listening to how the Republicans were the adults. The party of principles. The law and order party. My parents would say that the older I got, the more conservative I would become. Time, however, has shown that the older I get, the more I despise the Republican party.

Review: Birds of Prey: and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn
Man, I loved this movie. This was Deadpool levels of entertaining, and there are more than a few similarities to Deadpool, but I’ll get into that later. Suicide Squad was a mess of a movie, but the one redeeming feature, was Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn. Now she’s gotten her own movie, and is joined by some new friends.

Review: Captain Marvel
Ahead of Avengers: Endgame, it’s time to introduce the population to the most powerful superhero in the MCU, Captain Marvel. This movie has to show the people why Nick Fury paged her right before he turned into fairy dust. It had to do an origin story. It had to get the audience from “who?” to “OMG, I can’t wait to see her kick Thanos’ ass” in two hours. And it’s fucking boring.

Many people talk about the political spectrum. I’ve been meaning to address this for months, but never got around to it. Recently Bill Maher offered his thoughts, and pointed out that the “left is the same as the right” is a false equivalency. While I agree with him for the most part, I think he (and most pundits) have left out one important fact. We are far more alike than it seems.

There’s something that has bothered me for a while. It isn’t a partisan issue. It’s a societal issue. It’s the idea that words should fit a narrative, instead of the narrative being built on language.
