Sarah Palin, whose irrational disconnection from reality never ceases to amaze and amuse me, has recently come under fire for supposedly encouraging members of the tea party movement to violence towards her opposition. Said Ms. Palin on her Twitter account, “Commonsense Conservatives & lovers of America: ‘Don’t Retreat, Instead – RELOAD!’”
Soon afterwards several Democrats were threatened, and in some cases, their homes or places of work were vandalized. Sarah Palin, always one to take responsibility for her own actions (see her full term in Alaska), responded, “We’re not inciting violence. Don’t get sucked into the lamestream media’s lies about conservative America’s standing up for freedom as inciting violence.”
Now, bad grammar aside, Ms. Palin wants to you to understand that violence is not the answer. Most importantly, her words do not carry any weight. It’s the media’s fault. Always has been. How dare they use her own words in context against her? Which leaves me with one question. Is Marilyn Manson still responsible for Columbine? Or is that just the media’s lies?
I am so sick of these conservative elitists who think that they are morally superior. You are just as flawed as every other human on this planet; perhaps even worse, as you can not accept responsibility for yourselves. When confronted with the lack of evidence that weapons of mass destruction existed in Iraq, the explanation President Bush gave was, “faulty intelligence”. Not once did he ever say “I was incorrect”. I think that I could have respected that. These conservatives are so power hungry that they refuse to be wrong. Ever. It is always someone else’s fault.
The media lies. The government is taking over. *insert country name* wants to attack us.
How paranoid are they? I mean, seriously, must we really return to the panic McCarthyism started in the 50s?
In conclusion, the Democratic Party is in control right now. A few years ago, the Republican Party held the proverbial throne. In a few years, they will again. This country goes in waves. All I ask, on the behalf of the country, is to GROW UP. This goes for both sides. Just because you are not in power, does not mean you have to spend four years in a constant smear campaign.
Work together, because your time will soon come. To Sarah Palin, I encourage a community college course in Logic, or Basic English, or World History.
