Yet Another Reason Washington Isn’t A Real State
Every once in a while, I read a news story that is totally silly and stupid. Then I notice it happened in Washington State, and I’m not at all surprised.

Our Founding Principles
I’m often puzzled by the opinion on the right, that we need to steer our country back to our founding principles. One of my biggest complaints about our country is that it is too similar to the 1780s version of the US. I want change. I want a progressive future. I want the US to be BETTER, not the SAME. I mean, what has changed?

Indoctrination vs Free Will
I was recently talking to a friend of mine. She is Christian and wants to raise her children to be Christian also. She sees it as her duty. She is “accountable to god” for her children, as she said. I have a few things to say about this. First, as an atheist, I don’t force other people to see the world the way I do. I encourage them to, but if someone insists on believing in a god, so be it.

Psychological Warfare
I’m so tired of this idiotic complaint by gun activists. “They are going to take away our guns.” Look. No one is going to take your guns. You know why? They don’t NEED TO.

The reality, as pointed out by magician, atheist, and all around smart person Penn Jillette, is that atheism and agnosticism answer two different questions.

The Evolution of Science
The great Bill Hicks asked, “You ever notice how people who believe in creationism, look really unevolved?” While this is funny, there is a certain truth to it. I have often said that the religious are a previous chain in our evolution. Our brains have evolved beyond superstition. Their’s haven’t. They just haven’t died out yet.

Today, I’m starting a new segment on my site, where I show you how to make easy meals for cheap. The first entry is my signature dish, Chicken Taco Gringitos*. This should take about half an hour, and cost $30. It will make about 8 tacos. You will need:

Christmas
On the Twitternet, I’m amazed by how many Christians are not just angry, but FURIOUS that atheists celebrate Christmas. They think that Christmas is the celebration of Jesus’ birth, and that as such, non believers shouldn’t be allowed to celebrate on the same day. Let’s break this down, shall we?
