Review: Star Wars: The Last Jedi
I understand that when watching scifi, like superhero movies, you need to suspend disbelief. Just enjoy the story. Star Wars is a story about space wizards. But is it really to much to ask for there to be some internal logic? I swear, the Force in this movie works like Superman’s powers. His powers can do whatever the writers need it to do. As always I’ll warn you before I get to spoilers.

Glow in the Dark Live Edge Table (Part 2: I Fucking Hate Epoxy)
Welcome to part 2 of my Live Edge Table tutorial. Part 1 is here. In the last article, I covered the wood aspect. Now it’s time to deal with the epoxy. Welcome to my nightmare.

Biography: Jeanne de Clisson
I recently found out about Jeanne de Clisson, when someone on Twitter said that Taylor Swift was the most badass woman of all time. Someone else replied by mentioning Jeanne de Clisson, and some of her deeds, so I looked it up. Wow. Such a cool story. So now I shall share it with you.

Review: Justice League
Justice League, assemble! The culmination of a couple of years worth of half brained DC movies is here, with the superhero team up movie, Justice League. Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg Vs. Steppenwolf. Oh. This is DC. So it’s Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg “V” Steppenwolf: Justice League.

Sexual Harassment
Disclaimer: In the court of law, a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Most of the men mentioned below have not been found guilty. The court of public opinion, however, is driven by emotion, is often quick to judgement, and not always correct. That said, I’m like 90% sure these men are guilty of what they have been accused.

Halloween Cultural Appropriation
Every year for Halloween, we in America are gifted with two guaranteed news stories. The first, is that people will be outraged over a “sexy (insert job here)” costume. My favorite is the Sexy Ebola Nurse from a few years ago. The other is that people will be outraged over a racist costume. This year’s winner is Moana.

Glow in the Dark Live Edge Table (Part 1: Wood)
I hate wood working. That’s my dad’s thing. But I do like shiny things. I came across an Instructibles Article. To be fair, most of the method I used was from that article, so credit where credit is due, to Mikeasaurus. I made a ton of mistakes, and had to repeatedly go to plan B. Then plan C. Then plan D. I’m breaking this into two sections. First, the wood. Next, the epoxy. I’m going to warn you in advance. This is an expensive project. I’ve spent at least $1000 on supplies for this. But when it’s done, it will look sexy as hell. Let’s start with the supplies. And…

New Name. New Domain. Same Complaining.
As you may have noticed, I have a new domain, chrisdantes.com. Did I sell my website? Nope. I legally changed my name. I’d like to explain why.

Suicide
I’ve been meaning to post this for a while, but after Chester Bennington died, even I thought it was too soon. The sad reality, though, is that talking about suicide is kind of like talking about gun laws. If the rule is that “you can’t talk about it shortly after an event”, then you’ll never talk about it. I’m guessing that almost everyone knew someone, or knows someone who knew someone who either killed themselves or, at least tried to do so.

Nerd Cred / Nerd Acceptance
A few days ago, I posted a rant that mentioned how nerds don’t like change. To prove that I truly can complain about anything, I’m now going to rant about the exact opposite position. Today, I’m going to talk about how a certain subset of nerds need to embrace change.
